The Botanic Garden offers free, docent-led school tours. Here is a description of the types of tours offered.

Schools can request any tour at least 4 weeks in advance by completing the School Tour Request Form.

For schools in Oakland and West Contra Costa county school districts in which at least 50 percent of the student population qualifies for the Federal School Lunch Program, bus transportation from the school to the Garden and back, paid for by the Friends of the Botanic Garden, is available for the California Native Peoples and Plants (CNPP) tour, which complements the California Indian unit for 4th graders. To request a CNPP tour and bus transportation, please fill in the California Native People and Plants School Tour Request Form.
