Friends of the Garden
Crevice Garden
The Friends of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, a part of the Regional Parks Foundation, is an all volunteer-run organization dedicated to supporting the Garden's important work in education, horticulture, and conservation of California native plants. Since being founded in 1996, the Friends has provided funding for many important Garden projects including: the Crevice Garden, plant collection field trips, docent training, path building, and planting bed improvement.
Become a Member of the Friends
By becoming a member of the Friends, you contribute directly to preserving and enhancing the Garden for the benefit of all visitors and you enjoy the many benefits of membership, including discounts at native plant nurseries, member benefits at gardens participating in the American Horticultural Society Reciprocal Admissions Program, and more.
Help the Friends
The Friends of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden help publicize and raise funds for the Garden through many different activities. No experience is needed to assist the Friends, just a love of the Garden and a desire to help. For more information about volunteer opportunities with the Friends, inquire at info@nativeplants.org.
Friends Leadership Council
The Friends Leadership Council (FLC) steers the activities of the Friends. FLC meetings are usually held in the Garden's Visitor Center auditorium on the third Thursday of most months at 1:00 PM. Call (510) 544-3169 to verify the meeting time and place. Friends members are welcome to attend as non-voting observers, can offer comments and suggestions, and can join committees that contribute to FLC activities.
