Join Linda Ann Vorobik, botanist and botanical artist, for an illustrated talk. There will also be a show of botanical art and hand-painted silks with 25% of sales donated to the Botanic Garden.

Join botanical illustrator Linda Ann Vorobik, for a workshop exploring the art and science of botanical illustration. Participants will enjoy what Linda calls “long dates with plants,” spending focused time observing, drawing, and painting material from the Botanic Garden. This is a 2-day (Sat and Sun) course, 9:30am - 4:30pm. Advanced registration is required.

Michael Uhler, RPBG gardener, will talk about his backpacking vacation to explore Californa’s second tallest mountain as well as an alpine black hole of the Sierra Nevada. 

Marcus Tamura, RPBG gardener, will cover the flora he viewed on recent spring trip to South Africa's Namaqualand. 

Bart O’Brien, RPBG director, will speak on the CNPS 2026 conference, from the perspective of Park District attendees.

Join Jepson Herbarium Curator of Lichenology, Dr. Klara Scharnagl, as she leads a walk through the Tilden Regional Parks Botanic Garden. Biologist, writer and artist and co-founder of the Bay Area Mycological Society Debbie Viess will provide a fun trip through the wonderful kingdom of fungi, followed by a mushroom walk through the botanic garden.

Bob Case will speak on the alpines of Berthoud Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, plus some further north alpines of the Rocky Mountains in Montana and Canada.
