Gardening with Natives

Join Glenn Keator for a series of classes on gardening with natives. The class dates and topics are:

  • Oct 20 10am to 12:30pm – Reasons for natives, steps, and plant community model
  • Oct 27  10am to 12:30pm – Watering and soils
  • Nov 3 9:30am to 12pm – Seasonal activities
  • Nov 10 10am to 12:30pm – Propagation methods
  • Nov 17 9:30 to 12:30pm – Sample lists for different kinds of  gardens

Glenn Keator has taught at Merritt College, SF Botanical Garden, College of Marin, and California Academy of Sciences among others. His primary focus is on California native plants – their identification, ecology, uses and cultivation in local gardens. He initiated the docent training program at the East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden, where he continues to teach and inspire new generations of plant enthusiasts.
