Propagate California Native Plants

Plant sale volunteers propagate and maintain plants offered for sale to the public at the Botanic Garden's May-December Thursday morning plant sales and at our big annual sale in April. This friendly group of volunteers meets at the garden in the Potting Shed area of the Juniper Lodge building on Thursday mornings, 9:00-11:00 a.m., year-round. Volunteers are also needed to water the potted plants on Tuesdays and/or Sundays. Many of the volunteers are experienced horticulturists but experience isn't necessary; volunteering to propagate for the plant sale is an excellent way to learn about native plants.

For information, contact Ron Clendenen at RLClendenen@juno.com, call the Botanic Garden at (510) 544-3169, or just come to the Potting Shed on a Thursday morning and ask for Ron.
